Spotlight on Teresa Day

Teresa Day of London Kentucky has been an artist for many years. Her works range from mixed media paintings, sculptures, and pen and ink drawings. Her main media is paint on canvas. Ms. Day has a business as a muralist. Her business “Art By Day” was established in the spring of 1995 in London, Kentucky. It is very well known. 

Teresa Day has loved art since elementary school. One of her teachers (Ms. Bittle) took her under her wing and gave her one-on-one art lessons. She also took her to art museums and entered her work in state fairs. Today Ms. Day looks back on that time of learning, experience, and encouragement with a great deal of gratitude. 

Ms. Day studied the arts throughout her school years and painted a mural in Laurel County High School in 1977.  She went on to study art at Eastern Kentucky University then started to paint for friends. That experience led her to do what she does today as a muralist.
