Spotlight on Steve Campbell

Steve was raised in the Sublimity area of Laurel County KY and attended Laurel County High School where he was taught art by Mary Lou McWhorter. After high school he attended Somerset Vocational School's Aviation Maintenance Program. He has worked in aircraft maintenance for the past twenty four years at a major airline in Cincinnati.

Blending aviation and art came naturally and Steve has continued to paint in his spare time.

Over the years he has had works juried into shows at several museums including the Eighth Air Force Museum in Savannah, Georgia, the Experimental Aircraft Association Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, The Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington, and currently (2012) has a painting in the juried show at the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Florida. Steve is a member of the Mountain Heritage Artisans Guild and an associate member of the American Association of Aviation Artists.
